Professor Kate Rigby
Professor of Environmental Humanities, University of Cologne
Australia's first professor of environmental humanities (2013) and inaugural President of the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment (Australia – New Zealand), Professor Rigby was appointed founding Director of the Research Centre for Environmental Humanities at Bath Spa University in 2016. Since 2022 she has held the Alexander von Humboldt Professorship of Environmental Humanities at the University of Cologne, where she leads a research hub for Multidisciplinary Environmental Studies in the Humanities.
